Bodenmais-Bretterschachten Activity Center:
One of the areas with the most reliable snow conditions, offering 106 km of classic trails and 102 km of skating trails.

Bavarian Forest National Park (Mauth-Finsterau):
Comprises around 80 km of trails maintained by the surrounding communities, with centers in Finsterau and Zwieslerwaldhaus.

Bayerwaldloipe:
A long-distance trail over 150 km long that runs through the entire Bavarian Forest, stretching from the heights of the Großer Arber to the Dreisessel.

Lohberg-Scheiben:
An area with guaranteed snow at altitudes between 850 m and 1,200 m with several circular trails, including an easy family trail and a more challenging black trail.

Zwieslerwaldhaus:
A popular center with connections to the cross-border trail network.

Snowshoeing in Sankt Oswald-Riedlhütte

Guided tours:
When there is sufficient snow, guided snowshoe tours are regularly organized in Sankt Oswald-Riedlhütte by the tourist information office. You can choose between beginner, advanced, and professional tours. Registration is required.

Hike to the Lusen:
The Lusen is a popular destination for snowshoe hikers. Tours lead from Waldhäuser via the winter trail to the summit, for example.

Guided hikes:
Guided snowshoe tours led by experienced forest guides are also offered throughout the national park.
